Best option ever, in the universe, is folding mirrors IMO, so useful especially on wide cars like the 5 and 6 series. Would love to have that on my Z4.

Mine didn't have them but did have virtually all other options so I bought the car and retrofitted heated seat liners, wiring and switches. A lot of work but they perform perfectly.

If its a coupe, not a big deal.
Roadster I would walk away. There are so many roadies I would wait for another to pop up.

I use them a lot and I have a coupe, just makes the first 10mins much more comfortable and on cold days it's a nice feeling to keep them on.

My zed had most options other than heated seats, it didn't bother me to be honest as id rather be cold than be hot, but the misses used to moan in the winter with the roof down quite often so if I was to buy another I would haver to have them to keep her quiet!
But its up to you OP if you could cope or not, the heaters are very good as standard and you could retrofit it easily enough too

I believe that pre October 2004 BMW fitted the full loom regardless of what extras you had fitted. My is an August 2004 model and the only thing not plug and play was the electric folding mirrors

Every car I buy has heated seats - convertible or not. Just adds that extra degree of comfort when you need it. Great for warming up quick whilst the heater gets the cabin warm on a cold day. I really feel the cold through my back and find its a must. Mrs Behr also wants the seats on almost all year round.
If I bought a Zed without then I would quickly retrofit.
I had a Range Rover a few years ago and that came as standard with a heated steering wheel. I had two new discovery's after that and ticked the option on those too. What a luxury for a £140 (iirc) option at the time. Lovely!

I just bought one without heated seats and I "kinda" miss them, my Jag has them, as does my Lexus (front and back LOL) but my TVRs didn't and I used the last one with the roof down anytime it wasn't raining..
As people have said, there are plenty of roadsters around that will have all of the options you want, so unless you see one specific one, at a good price then I'd probably keep looking.
On the other hand, if (like me) you come across a reasonable one at a bargain price (mine was ~50p a cc ) then the heated seats can be retrofitted or a Kevlar heated seat set can be bought reasonably cheaply.
My wife's SLK350 (which has an air scarf which is rather nice) had the usual SLK issue of a broken seat pad, the Kevlar kit was ~£80 to repair that and came with the full kit to install heated seats in 2 cars.
