The engine bay is not that different. The intake pipes have changed that's all. And obviously a bit of extra wiring.

Turbo wastegate are already to rock. And once it's running and working it won't be finished. As I will be making false floors and tidying things up. As the oil feed system is taking over and needs to have bits hidden from view.

So the 2 pipes are the only changes in the engine bay. Small pipe from the turbo to the intercooler large pipe from the intercooler to the TB the fat section is to allow the MAF to fit.

Had to mod the intercooler so that it in and out where on the same side.

Nice to follow the project. looks good so far. I think with a decent workshop I could pull a project like this my self. but have big respect for guys like you who just do it. keep it up - secretly dreaming of a little bolt on kit for my Z. but realisticly it will never happen.

Thanks buddy it's always more work than you exspect!! I am hopping to get a spare engine at some point. As I want to build one up incase mine has any issues. I will be making a set of headers for mine. I could possibly have my arm twisted to make some headers to fit a turbo if your choice. There are bolt on 330 kits but not for RHD cars. Buy a kit I would be happy to help you to get it to work?

Im based in Switzerland so might be a little far to travel for at project like that. but thanks for the generous offer. I guess what holds me back right now is the lack of time and also no workshop to work in right now. plus I am always worried for the approvals etc to make it road legal. I dont think the Swiss authorities are messing about whit these kind of things :) I have seen a car for sale here with a kompresor kit making just over 300 HP im sure that combined with a LSD is a garuantee for fun. How reliable are these cars with a blower on them?

Ah yeah i hear the Swiss are very tight on modified cars!!
So a LHD kit would fit your car. Simples.
As for the blower kits depends who’s kit it is? But i don’t think there are any major drawback 300hp is not a mega increase. The standard z4 benefits hugely from a LSD.

I dont remember the names of the kits i Saw. But i think I have to stick with a LSD for now. But good to know that the engine can manage 300 ish HP with out braking down all the time. I think 300 HP in a Z4 is a lot of fun.

First start up with no idle control. Unfortunately we have no turbo spooling up as it was being supplied to much oil pressure and stopping it from spinning freely. Hopefully the next video will sound a bit better.

But the problem with supplying to much oil is solved now?

I think so!! I will be checking that tomorrow. I have changed from a -6 to a dash -3 feed line so restricting the feed. But i have also added a control valve and bleed off system to my oil feed. Much like what you would have on a fuel system, I have 2 gauges also so i can check actual pressure going to the turbo now. I had problems with my first valve so as long as the new one is ok all should be good.

Only problem being it looks like I am going to look at a car tomorrow for my sister in law. So won’t have as much time to play with mine
:(
