3.0si coupe battery

Post by rich48848 » Tue Mar 28, 2017 12:28 pm

Any recommendations for a new battery?

As it's in the boot, I guess any replacement has to have a vent tube.

Exide EB802 looks like the right fit, size 110. But not sure about the vent tube.

I've just fitted a Bosch S5 to my Coupe today. I can confirm, it does have the facility to plug in the breather for venting

Great thanks!

There's no mention of it on the Tanya site.

So what did you pay for the S5 Bosch?

I bought Bosch S5 from Tayna for my E46. Very quick, good service. Remember to find the battery you want, then hover over the webpage until a 5% discount pops up.

Yes OP, they do have a vent tube - if you are standing at the back of the car looking into the boot it is on the left of the battery.

Mine had a new one in December, and I chose Exide as my BMW indy said OEM ones were Exide. I'd have expected Bosch, but the Exide was cheaper with the same warranty.

You may get an online discount at Euro Car Parts with Easter coming up - assuming you can wait!
Coupes because stunning!

Gone - Montego Blue
Gone - Ruby Black

Cheers! I saw the Exide was cheaper. ECP is doing a 56% off at the moment, but Tanya is still cheaper...

Well being the old cynic I am I did think ECP prices would be at least double before they gave anything like 40% off (and they would still not be that cheap).
