Stupid question, ,, but how to read oil dipstick??
Daft question maybe but i have never seen a dipstick as awkward to read as tge one in my Z. M54 3.0. Actually has a dipstick.. that's a start. ... question is where is the max level.
Is it at the top of the cut away section or is it at the top of the plastic centre section?
Should the oil cover the last metal rod part.

You want the oil level to sit somewhere in the small section in the middle, just about the spikey point

At least you have a dip stick.
All I get to do is push a button and the dash lights tell me about the oil.
