Yeah, will be good (and bad) when its done!
It will undoubtedly be buried at the back of my workshop all winter gathering dust while I get on with more pressing projects. But I can always drag it out for a bit of fun (fixing it and driving it) at slack times and when the suns out.

Not quite sure what to do with it yet. Contemplating keeping it, BUT still have my full custom station wagon to complete. Come to think of it, the Z4 may actually fit into the back of it :)

Not had much time on the car, but had a few mins today to split the second foglight lens from the alloy housing.
Even growing plants in there if you look carefully!

Horrid!

Did you reset it (ie, take the Z4 out of Transport Mode) or disable it so it won't happen again? Apparently there's a difference but I can't remember the process to disable rather than reset since I haven't had to do it to mine (yet...)

Not that advanced yet! Just deleted it. Switched it off? Will spend more time on it soon.
Just excited to be able to do it!
Pity BMW didn't do it in the first place.

Andy.

If anybody knows the procedure to completely remove, will they post it please?

I think you need DIS software as well as INPA to delete transport mode completely. As long as you only have INPA, just resetting it should be ok as you'll have the ability to reset it again if need be. Or you can go down the DIS learning path and finish it.
Most of the info regarding this seems to be quite old, so it is possible something else is capable of deleting (not just resetting) Transport Mode. I'd be interested to know if anyone knows if there is a newer solution than INPA + DIS.

You haven't had to do yours yet? Is it that likely to happen? i.e. its not a question of, if it will happen... but when.
I've had a quick search around, I definitely don't like the sound of Transport Mode. However I'm not too sure what trips the system into that setting? Something to do with incorrectly removing the battery? Or leaving it disconnected from the battery for too long? Anyone know?

Cheers! :)

Mine kicked in after a completely flat battery last winter. DIS was the only way to cure it.
