My local tire place likes those proxes a lot and talked me out of some higher priced tires

I had toyo proxes T1-S and T1-R on on 200sx, the T1's were very soft compound and a pair of rears were spent in ~8000 miles. The T1'Rs seemed to ride better, have better wet weather behavior and didn't wear so quickly.

Apparently the goodyear eagle F1's are similar if not better but several owners had high speed deflations due to a problem with the sidewall so many SX owners won't chance them.

I put the Falken 452's on the M3 as they were the best of the cheap stuff for resale but have to say that they appeared to be really good, I only drove a few hudred miles but I'm due for a new set now after Silverstone this weekend so might give the Falken's a crack, they're half the price so can afford to shag them

I'm split from the reviews on whether to opt for the Michelin Pilot 2's or Falken GRB FK 452. Would anyone pay the extra £20 per tyre for the ps2'a or opt for the F452'S. I have no previous experience with either on the z4 although loved the handling of my e46 saloon on michelin pilot's, the handling filled me with confidence. :driving:

I have the Falken 452 tires on 19" CSL reps and I'm very happy with them. They're pretty quiet, tread life looks good so far, and, for a very low profile tire the ride is pretty good.

General comment to people pleased with tread wear - YOU'RE NOT PUSHING YOUR CAR HARD ENOUGH

I like the look of those too,

When I had my previous Z4 the Bridgestones although RFT gave me very impressive grip (dry summer use I'm talking)
Ive never driven on a set of Michelin tires, The PS2 doesn't look as aggressive as these,
For me its a toss up between the PS2's, GS-D3 Goodyears, and The Bridgestone RE-050A Pole Position

But now Ive seen the Potenza RE-01R I'm more swayed back to Bridgestone,

The stock Conti's on the M leaves a lot to be desired, However I have not tried them in summer months as seeing as theres nothing wrong with mine i'll see if there any good this year

I left half my rear tread at Atlanta Motor Speedway during drag season :D
Switched to the Pirelli P-Zero's and love 'em, good traction wet or dry.
