BMW Codes iPhone app

Anyone used this to find out the exact list of options in their Z? If so, does it actually work? Where are the codes kept in a Z? The app says they are usually kept under the back seat......

If you want to know the options codes then this link has the facelift brochures and codes. No idea where they are located on a Z4 though. Easier to give the dealer your key and get a print out.

Didn't you know they had back seats? You've missed out......
That's why i asked where the codes were kept because they are obviously not in the back seat.

The app is called BMW Codes as per topic title.

oh right. sorry, it wasn't that obvious to me.

i had a look, but i dont think you'll find those codes anywhere in the Z4.
Maybe in your owners handbook pack? Mine was...

however, mine also says exactly what the option is next to the numbers.

finally - tell me you're not paying £1.79 for that app, as your dealer will tell you all this and more for absolutely nothing....

No worries. Sometimes these things don't come across like they would if spoken. I don't have my zed yet - hopefully getting it this week - so will check my handbook. I've got the list the dealer gave me but just like to check these things to make sure I've got the right info.

I got the app for free - I'm too tight to pay for stuff like that!

that's alright :)

i tried to get it free, but couldn't find the source :/

if the printout the dealer gave you contains info such as your car's build date and warranty start date, it will be the list as of when the car was produced by BMW.. Extra's added after original delivery won't show on that list.
however, if they were added by a dealer, they will be on the system, and they will be able to tell you about them.
