Speaker Upgrade

Sooooo Ive had a little mooch around for this topic, but im either coming up with too little info, or something toooo detailed.

I have the standard speaker/sound setup on an 06 facelift

Im after a little more oooomph

Im looking for a straight forward upgrade.

Are the any speakers I can buy and whip out the old ones for?

Or dont results come that easy?

Well, you can go for a straight swap, like a hertz component three way system (tweeter,Mid & bass driver, all seperate) it will sound much better, clearer and give you some more low end umph, but depends what you are trying to acheive, add a small sub powered sub woofer and a power amp to the above,and you are in a whole new league.

Yep you can swap to 3 way components, I have. There's no wiring in the door for the mid, so you'll have to add it, and you'll probably need spacers.

I also added a Cleansweep to run the original speaker wires into a proper Amp, then an Alpine PDX4.150 and subs in the back 8)

Speakers would be an ok start, but it's not going to get any louder.
