the problem is the way it catches the light, esp in the dark - looks awful. really bugged me now. grrr
will try the clear laquer build-up route and see if it works.

No it clears the bootlid by about 1mm.Chris_D wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2017 6:21 pm [quote=Hagasan post_id=1492193 time=1512486033 user_id=25236]
That's a bugger! Is that a bootlid opening on to the glass? I thought as all UK cars had "hardtop preparation" there were limit stops fitted to the bootlid to stop it opening far enough to hit the roof?
Hope you can find a solution..
Nah it won't shatter. It's not the same kind of glass you get in a windscreen...or showerdoor.Silverzedtom wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2017 10:16 pm That’s annoying
Not sure if it would happen to automotive glass but I’d be a little bit worried about shelling - where now an edge is damaged it can shatter the whole lot without warning.
Seen it happen on shower screens a couple of times where it must have had a tiny imperfection on an edge. As I said this may not be the case here
I think I’d be saving for a new piece of glass

Trying to undo Lou’s boobie hammock while she both hands on your hardon eh Chris....TOP.....I meant hardtop.....
and er maybe get her name spelled right, otherwise it may be misconstrued that i'm batting for the same team. It's Lau, not Lou!
Feel for you bud! Hopefully you can tidy it up somehow! Best of luckChris_D wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2017 10:04 pm Well, not exactly dropped but the person helping me caused me to almost lose my grip on my top corner while i was opening a door. Hoping some carefully applied resin/laquer might conceal it a bit.
Couldnt find the chipped bit either. Coulda glued it back on perhaps.
Ho hum.
