Best way to put front end on Axle stands

Post by Magicarcher » Tue Nov 14, 2017 8:19 pm

I need to put the front end on axle stands but have a dilemma. The only acceptable place I can find to place my trolley jack is under the plastic jack carriers at the front of the sills. But when I jack it up from there, I can't find a suitable place to put the axle stands. I would usually place jack under the front cross member, then put axle stands under the jack pads. But the z has what appears to be an aluminium shield under the rear of the engine which covers the cross member and would get damaged.

The rear of the car I find simple, trolley jack under the two bolts on the diff, then jack up and put the axle stands under the two rear plastic sill jack carriers..

Jack up one of the rear side jack points, high enough to get a jack stand under the front point on the same side, repeat on other side and reverse to get her back down.

Make sure you're using wheel chocks though as the car twists all over the place without them.
