E85 Red LED Brake Lights?
Hi Folks,
My 53 3.0i has clear rear light clusters. There are red bulbs in but they look almost white now when the brake pedal is pressed. Does anyone know of red LED bulbs that can be swapped in? I dont really want to go down the route of tinting the cluster as I like the clear look.

Osram LEDs, have them on mine but you will need to code out the bulb checks. They also do indicators and white for reverse. I assume you need P21W but not sure how well they will do with the 6V/12V method of getting tail/brake.
Personally I think red tint looks better and may have to be the option if the LEDs don't play ball.

I have no means to code them out, may have to go down the tinting route instead.

Why didn’t you just get coloured bulbs?? Or tint the bulb rather than the light fitting ?

Looks ace, I'd love to have a play with a set to see if I could get the LEDs to work for brake/tail.

I had (still have) red bulbs in it, they shone almost white though. It was actually an advisory on the MOT. Ideally wanted red LED's so I wouldn't have to tint them but the lights came out really good tbh.
