Pointless Vandalism

Post by ESP » Sun Oct 01, 2017 11:12 pm

F***ing annoyed :headbang:
I last drove my Roadster on Friday evening to visit my parents. Got home about 8:30pm and parked outside my own place which is the last door in a quiet Cul-de-sac. Unfortunately there is a footpath that keeps going where the road stops, so its often used by pedestrians, but not many.

Its been Kicked, and the mirror casing has dented the door (can not see here in this image). :x

Im sure i can find a used mirror and salvage the Metal spindle/bracket inside and re-use the colour cover, but its a load of hassle i haven't asked for. The annoying thing is the dent in the door, though.

Jealous barstewards! Feel your pain. Hopefully an easy and cheap, if not annoying repair.

We can only hope that one day the person responsible will have the same thing happen to something they own. Like you say, load of hassle and expense for you for no good reason. A paint-less dent repair (assuming the paint isn't damaged) will fix the door but it'll cost around £80.

Aghhh makes you want to hurt someone :brucelee:
It's happened to me many years ago when I had to park by an alleyway at home, had the bonnet keyed and even footprints over the car once :headbang: just as well you don't catch them I suppose :guns:
I feel your pain and all the other feelings that'll be running raw at the moment
I hope you get it all sorted as soon as possible, you may be able to get the dent popped out by a PDR guy as well hopefully!

Is it a standard non folding mirror you need?, I may have one in the garage that you can have, not the same colour, but if you are using the existing cover that shouldn't matter. I am not promising, but will look tonight, free to collect or the postage cost if you are to far away. If I don't have one hopefully somebody else on here has one and is willing to follow my lead on price etc

Sorry to hear bud, had this happen on the e46 in a station car park... contacted police and everything. Turned out it was a cyclist who randomly went into a dead-end car park? Maybe just to knock it off! You say you got it sorted already? Nice turn around

Forget about it and enjoy... he (or she!) will get what's coming to them!

Absolutely bastards , what we all don't realise is the total pain to get this sorted, now their is a dent in the door, the removal of the trim etc etc etc and it all never goes back on correctly or something else is damaged or scratched, these cars are old and weren't put together best in the first place so dismantling them often leads to further crap .... Sorry to see this OP.... I've recent seen quite a few e85s with slashed roofs, saw 2 in this last month which scared me. Cant have anything nice!

Just checked in my garage and I do have a mirror if you want it, you can either collect from Lytham St Annes or send me your address on a Pm and I will get it sent to you at the weekend
