I have enjoyed this forum while I enjoyed my 2007 Z4 3.0i Roadster. However, I have just exchanged it for a 2006 M6 in Indianapolis Red Metallic, with a 5.0L V-10 and 500 HP. I am giving up sporty looks and behaviour in exchange for luxury and performance. A friend tells me that this car needs no seatbelts - you are pressed into the seatbacks at all times !
With only 66,000 KMs and a beautiful leather interior which looks unused, this may well be my last performance car, as I just turned 77. Who knows - perhaps in three years I will not be allowed to control 500 HP ?

Your new car sounds fantastic OP.
We'd love to see a photo or two before you go, but you don't have to leave when you sell your Z anyway.
At least is sounds like you aren't slowing down.

I have forgotten how to add photos, but I will give it a try. I put a couple into my Photobucket - is that still the way to do it ?

As you can see, I managed it OK, without the need for Photobucket. I am glad that someone fixed that archaic process and made it easier for us old fogeys to manage photos.

That's an awesome vehicle! And as others have mentioned, you're welcome to stick around, it's not as if you're banned for not having a Z4 . Out of curiosity, what happened to your Z4? Did you trade it, or sell it?

Wow, what a beast. Remember to pop in from time to time and let us know how it's going. Agree with the photo situation, so easy now

In Ontario, Canada, one must pay 13% sales tax on the full price of the vehicle if purchased without a trade-in (3900. dollars in this case.) Since I traded in the Z4, the tax was payable only on the difference in value. If I had sold it privately, I would have had to receive 3000. more for the Z4, plus the hassle of selling privately (emissions testing, safety inspection costs etc.) This way, I test-drove the car, liked it, and came home in it 100 miles the same day.
