i8 plans dead. Now what?
For God's sake! Despite a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty on an i8, the battery is only warrantied to 100k miles. That's pure crap. What's the point in that?
At the moment, unless I can negotiate a better deal, i'm out. Grrr, of frustration with bmw!

Why is it that people who can't take advice always insist on giving it?

I can get an almost new one for under 70k. A 911 is more than this, but very dull. I really use my cars so depreciation is a fact of life, covered by a good car allowance.
yes. 100k miles plus

Good car, but still not allowing my boat to float. I've even considered a used lambo, but that really would be very silly as a daily commuter. I8 seemed the best daft choice.

Fair enough! That's some mileage
It's one of my concerns with electric cars, what do you do when the batteries inevitably die? Is there any way to replace them on the i8?
To be fair I know someone who's had one of those lexus offroad hybrid things for 8 years or so and it's still going strong.

Yes, battery can be changed. For example, it could be faulty or defective under warranty.
I think that i need so pull out all of my typical dealer levers to get some deal on the battery. No rush, but the car change bug has definetely been awakened.

From what I know the battery isn’t that big anyway, so even if it did need replacing then it wouldn’t be the end of the world? Unlike breaking a used Lambo
