i8 plans dead. Now what?
Why is it that people who can't take advice always insist on giving it?

I think that's probably true, so compromise will likely be either they provide an extended warranty in the price or share the pain upfront with a discount. I guess i'm just peeved at bmw's standard approach.Wondermike wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2017 12:11 am From what I know the battery isn’t that big anyway, so even if it did need replacing then it wouldn’t be the end of the world? The lambo idea really was VERY silly!

V10 Audi R8 spider? Go for a high mileage one and save yourself a huge depreciation hit. Similar to a lambo but up on the practicality as an every day car.

I think the manual R8 V10 is one of the best used car buys right now. Given what manual Ferraris have done I think it's a safe place to put your money.

It's too late for people not to hate me
nsx is worth a look, but probably too pricey. Set myself a £70k limit as 3-4 years of mileage will all but kill it anyway.

After looking briefly all I can find is that an i3 battery is €1700 or so , it has 8 batteries so I'm guessing an i8 has more ? Convert that to sterling and it's comparable to a clutch change on a Lambo according to evo magazine !Zed Five wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2017 12:16 amI think that's probably true, so compromise will likely be either they provide an extended warranty in the price or share the pain upfront with a discount. My Mrs gets a generous car allowance but they don't allow anything but 4 door cars , your employer is a star , don't ever hand your notice in ! The Mrs got comments for turning up in a white merc , she'd have got a p45 for even suggesting a used Lambo
