Fine scratches

Post by MT94 » Sat Jul 01, 2017 3:01 pm

Hi there I have a silver Z4 and it has a few light scratches and just wondered if anyone has any experience with any products that can remove these as I can't feel them so must be in the clear coat so would have thought I could "cut" them out with something but I don't want anything that is too abrasive as I don't really want flat spots on my paint so if anyone has any suggestions of something that is safe for a amateur detailer to use I would really appreciate it.
Cheers

Have you got polishing machine? If not I'd say get G3 scratch remover from halfords. I've had it in my box for a while and it gets rid of most clear coat scratches with a bit of elbow grease.. then just get some G3 colour restore and apply that once you're done with scratch remover. Won't leave any flat spots and can be done with a cloth or a polishing pad.

Sadly I don't have a machine polisher don't trust myself with that I'd end up with no paint on the car  I'll give some of that ago it seems to have decent reviews I'll just have to take my time and see what happens

I've used Auto Glym Painter restorer for fine scratches - works a treat
