Hi All, Can anyone tell me about their PPS and how reliable it is, also once activated, how easy it is reset?

Hi , I hit a traffic cone and the PPS activated on my new Z4 it's only done 2000 miles and it will cost £1600 yes that's right £1600 to reset it,apparently the sensors and hinges that lift the bonnet have to be replaced ,luckily no actual damage to the car or I would have been as well buying another !!

OkI see there's another thread on this, it's pedestrian protection system. Sometimes you gotta hate modern cars :cry:

Yup always silly prices for those.. I believe nissan wanted something like 11k to replace those on the GTR
