Variable speed polisher

Post by huytonman » Fri Oct 13, 2017 2:37 pm

I've finally decided that hand polishing isnt much fun (took me a while) and I am planning to get a rotary polisher. As with most things however the more you dig into a subject the more bewildering it can get and I really dont know which manufacturer or model to buy. I'm keen to keep the cost low but dont like the look of the £20+ ones out there and although I wont be using it that often would like to think it will last as long as my trusty black and decker that Ive had for 30 odd years so hopefully no need ti buy another. The one that seems to tick most boxes is the DeWalt DWP849X-GB, its about £160 - any experience with this or alternative suggestions?
Thanks
Keith

Job done. Wouldn't bother with anything else for occasional hobbyist use.

As per previous post, I wouldn’t be looking at rotary polishers unless you’re an expert-you can’t really go wrong with a DA & your car will be safe :)
