Quick heads up, I picked up 2 clay kits and 2 bottles of srp, offer used to be 3 for 2 so good chance to stock up, a litre bottle of srp lasted me a year so I think I have a good stock now lol

Cheers fella. Will be heading down there tomorrow. Halfords clay sales will be through the roof this weekend.

I think they already are , the cheaper stuff was all gone. I only ever go in when they have these deals on, just popped in on the off chance to see what clay kits they sell, so was a bit lucky

Good choice ksher, never used the AG clay kit personally but the zymol shampoo is lovely stuff, just a cap will do a 10-15 ltre bucket nicely.
Dont use aquawax all the time, more so once a month to pep up the protection and increase gloss.
Using aquawax all the time can cloud the finish and make it look slightly milky.

Thanks. People on detailing world also said that. But does it actually permanently cloud the finish?

No.
You can strip it back after a few washes or in one step with a stronger shampoo mix.
Ive finally taken the plunge and joined DW, management changed hands etc and I know the chief admin quite well surprisingly lol.

+ 2 for AG Aquawax. Done just that in the last month: used it on a couple of occasions post-wash, and not after every wash. I'm glad that I'm doing what the expert does, Scottbt. Works great on Black Sapphire.

I wouldnt say im an expert
More so knowing a fair old amount and working on plenty of cars helps out for sure, I just enjoy what I do and like helping out.

Works great on most colours tbh but its more promenant on darker colours when needing to be revived.

Scott: Can you recommend a good wash mitt that can last bit longer than Serious Performance 100% Genuine Sheepskin Wash Mitt With Thumb? I only used it 4 times and a lot of pelt came off from it. It may do 3 or 4 washes more.

Just get the Megs one. Mine lasts about a year of washing the car every week.

Which one? Microfibre or Lambs Wool? Does anyone use noodle mitts? Any good?

The ones Alex @ serious performance supplies are quite good tbh but ive not used one of that type for a while.
I tend to use these ones as I used to sell them in my ebay shop.

The key to making them last is after use let them ang dry and get an open bristled brush that you would use on a dog to brush it so it fluffs up slightly again.

See picture. :( I hand washed it and allowed to air dry after use. I have sent the picture to Alex and see what he says.

Gosh that looks like a wrung poodle. I use the Meguiars Microfibre Mitt. Works a treat, no complaints. Have had it for over 6 months and it's still going strong. No loss of fabric or considerable loss of body from the mitt. :)

Alex at Serious Performance sent replacement mitt, and it was received today. Excellent customer service.
