Super sausage cafe meet ??

Post by firebobby » Sat Jun 24, 2017 10:00 am

I read Practical classics, it's a car magazine all about classic cars
Any way, they have been trying out road side/haulage type cafes up and down the country that readers have nominated. The Ace is there along with many others, including "The super sausage" which got good reviews. http://supersausagecafe.co.uk/food-menu
Would any others fancy a mini meet there as it's quite central.

Hmm, would love to, but a bit far for a breakfast @ 300 miles round trip, even for me.

Tell you what though, at those prices they are raking it in!

Reading the blurb though Mike, the food is supposed to be of high quality, so I suppose it's not your average greasy spoon. We are talking hard southern prices too

That's about the norm for decent breakfast round hear £5.50 a pint in my local!! I hate living in the south some times!!!

Depending on dates, and if the car is finished I am a yes
My little blue zed is in lots of bits. With lots of things started and not many finished! I may have found the limits of my time and ability!!

Potentially yes, only 30 miles up the road.
That's a normal price for a half decent breakfast round here.

I'd be up for that! Sort a date out Firebobby, I'm already planning a route from High Wycombe.

OK, my problem is we are busy now until 16th sept, so if someone else wants to run it at an earlier date, please feel welcome.
If there are any of you guys who haven't put your name down for the Ace Z4 day in Sept, let me know as we need more.

lol, This just reminded me of a discussion on the VFR bike site I have been on for years.

I once did a little exercise and checked where was actually central between our members, baring in mind the most northern was Nr Inverness and the most southern the south coast.

I'm actually about 10 miles from CENTRAL here in Durham, it worked out as Scotch Corner was the central point between all members.

That would put Northampton about 200 miles out
