ZEDfest 2017 - 20th August
Simple next year will be ticketed so if you don't turn up we won't be out of pocket as much as the last 2 years. I enjoyed the event but disappointed with approx 50 cars not turning up and as we were tight on space I had to limit it and others could of come. For the last 2 years we have had a list of approx 200 cars and only 140-150 cars turn up. We have to plan food mainly for if all attend so we were left with lots of spare which costs us. I'm happy to host the event but if you can't make it then say so. The event is posted up early enough so to make sure we give enough notice.
We want as make people to enjoy the event

She had her chancemac27040 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 21, 2017 11:02 pm Simple next year will be ticketed so if you don't turn up we won't be out of pocket as much as the last 2 years. That's disappointing, especially as you provide such a great venue - the only other option would be to take a deposit when people book so that costs get covered.mac27040 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 21, 2017 11:02 pmSimple next year will be ticketed so if you don't turn up we won't be out of pocket as much as the last 2 years. I was only 8 miles away from relatives not seen for a long time at Hoton, so had to call - called at my sister and then my mums on the way back north at Doncaster as well. Got home at midnight - a long but very enjoyable daySmartbear wrote: ↑Mon Aug 21, 2017 10:40 amSaw your car parked down a local lane, I think you saw me waving as we passedpaulgs1000 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 21, 2017 9:07 am Great to meet up with forum members some not seen for far too long (looking great there Bing ). Beautiful venue - what a home and what a fabulous job refurbishing and developing the Mill - brilliant. Talking all day, lots to see and the weather on side - loved it!
Thanks to all involved for a wonderful day . . .
Had no idea how many Imola Ms there were - couldn't turn around without falling over one - and I missed Marlon - how?!
Now, have to get on eBay and do a bit of research on machine polishers - if I can build a bit of experience on the Skoda! Thanks lynchy
Lots of Ms and helpful owners, lots more to see and talk about - magic

Agree on ticketing
Perhaps £5 also with say £1 of it to charity?
Plus a week before event cut off point of entries so as your not updating this all the time alongside working and on getting it sorted
As you know
Thank you for all planning and let's face it no one else has done anything to get forum together so big clap buddy

So just to be clear, lots of people have helped sort loads of events over my 6 years on here :
Silverstone Classic x3
Duxford for the last 3 years
At least 2 mass Wales meets
Craig and Sammy have arranged, what 7 national meets now ?
And hundreds of planned runs out for smaller groups of forumites...
But, I agree - big hand to Neil because this is becoming a proper staple event, is a lovely venue, and from my perspective was brilliantly organised. Sign me up for the next one - might have refurbed my wheels by then...

Had a good time on Sunday enjoyed chatting to a few people and looking at the cars. Got some coding done on my car (thanks Mike) and got hold of a loom to wire in cruise control, just need the stalk now
Thanks to all who were involved in the organisation and what a stunning venue.
Hope to attend again next year

Hi guys .
We didn't attend this year because my wife is still recovering from breast cancer .
Three ops and 6 months of chemo then radiotherapy and now going through physio in the last 9 months .
We left canceling as near to the event as we could hoping she would be able to go .
Some none attendee, s may well have good reason for not attending .
And shouldn't feel pushed to explain or named an shamed by the forum monkeys .
I agree a deposit paid when you put your name down is a good idea and would be up for that .
I explained our reason for not attending just so folks my realise sometimes there are genuine reasons .
