Buzing Around, Snowdon Pt1
After a good nights sleep. We awoke Sunday morning to much improved weather. So after a quick check on the Zed we set off.
Just a question of which route to take.
Our original plan had been to scramble up via Crib Goch, but that route was still hidden by cloud and possibly covered in ice, so we chose to head off down the miners track and walk up the other side of the Snowdon Horse Shoe via Lliwedd Bach and the Watkins path
Leaving the safety of the Miners track and heading up on to the ridge at Lliwedd Back.
4x4 mode required. Something that would be required a lot today.
Looking back at the route up the ridge.
Some breathtaking views and some scary ones.
The views in all directions, from the top of Lliewidd's West peak at 898m were well worth the effort of the climb.
So much for getting a breather dropping down on to the Watkins path. Not so much a path as a series of mini rock scrambles
More cracking views form the saddle, before we started the final climb, up in to the clouds.

Great pics. Walked / run all they routes many times, used to train there. Did you manage to avoid the criminal parking charge?
Why is it that people who can't take advice always insist on giving it?

Great photos, you had quite a long hike for this time of the year.Did you drop over the edge or go down the ridge towards Yr Aran to access the Watkin path.
