I don't know what the price includes, but you would need to take your car to him in order to be able to program it is in, OR, you could remove the EWS module yourself and post it to him, but know that whilst the EWS module is off the car you won't be able to use the car.

Where are you based?

Hi Buddy, Near Tamworth, Midlands. M42 Junction 10.

Thought the standard OEM flip key was easier and didn't need the EWS removed, Just the spare key.

Ah sorry, I admit I didn't read any historical posts of yours

Yes, if you're simply changing a spare diamond key to the cheaper flip key (eg, NOT a bentley style) then yes you just need to post him the key. Mike will then cut the blade on the flip key, and put your transponder and remote into the new flip shell.

Although in my opinion, the bentley style key is so much nicer and worth spending that bit extra to get but it does require programming

Russell,

Apols for not replying sooner, I knew I'd received a PM from you, but still can't see the difference between new and unread ones due to the colour coding.

Have now replied.

Hi Anmarube,

I think they all need the EWS removed so Mike can connect it to his reader - I know he had to take mine out when he did me a Bentley-style flip key in September (probably the best £80 I've spent on the car TBH)! Well maybe apart from Mike replacing the corroded rear brake pipes in copper - 2 less annual advisories! :)

If you don't hear from him you could always e-mail him direct - address is in here:-

No probs, I aim to get them done and back in the post same day, they will go back Special Delivery, guaranteed next day by 1pm If you drop me an email to zed4mods@gmail.com I'll send you my number.
Mind you if you're in Tamworth you aren't that far away really - surely an excuse to give the Z4 some exercise!
Z4 3.0Si Sport - Coupe for added stiffness!
Current - Montego Blue, Pearl Grey & 108Ms. Cruise, Storage and pdc. 325ti Sport as a DD.
Gone - Ruby Black, Pearl Grey & 135Ms. Xenons, heated seats and Professional speakers.

Additional/new keys = EWS required
Fitting old key internals with a new battery & into a flip housing = Just old key required

If that makes sense?
