How-To requests go here

Post by sp3ctre » Thu Jun 21, 2007 11:10 am

We would like to keep this section clear of requests, so I have created this sticky thread for how-to requests.

Hello. I used to be a member of z4um before it went kaput. I remember on z4um that they had a DIY for making the full brake light circle light up when braking ('03 to '05 models). Does anybody remember that DIY? Please I need this DIY! Any help would be appreciated. :)

I think that flyboyaj's reply would be suited as a How to in this section 8)

How to install an additional 12V socket in the boot/trunk would be good... I know there used to be one on Z4um, but now it's gone :( :(

Removal of bumper?

I've seen it somewhere removed but never a how-to

I've been told it's fairly easy but i'd rather have something to go by rather then mess it up

Does anyone know how involved it would be to swap out headlights. I have halogens and would be swapping with the same. The only difference would be these are off an 06 and mine is an 03 with the amber turn signals.
A how to would be great.
Also has anyone done this?

Has anyone attempted fitting the Intravee set up which allows the retention of a CD changer in a car fitted with sat nav. I'm aware that the CD changer will have to be replaced with an Alpine CHA-S634 but I'm interested in where the Intravee and ancillary equipment can be fitted ie

1 x Ipod
1 Intravee unit
1 x Alpine KCA-420i Ipod interface
1 x Alpine KCA-410c

If anyone has done it then their experience would be very valuable.

You need new ones, the old ones break when removed.
