Hello
I joined the forum a long while ago now, almost two years ago in fact, although it really doesn't seem like it. I have always been a bit of a Z4 lurker having own an early Z4 3.0 convertible back in 2003(?).
This time around I in fact bought a Z4 3.0 Sport Coupe from this forum and Benny88 who used to be on here.
It has been a lovely car to own and drive, probably due to the fact that he looked after it well. However, that time has come when it needs a little more concentrated TLC, possibly because it now belongs to me So, time to stop lurking around here, and start asking for some advice from the people here infinitely more knowledgeable than me.
The poor thing is going to need a new clutch at just over 70k miles, and therefore DMF, and I am beginning to look at an intermittent DSC warnings, and NSF headlight issues. Presumably protocol would be to post questions in the related sections, but I just wanted to give an idea of what I am going to need to get done.
First things first, does anyone have any bright ideas about independent specialist garages, within reach of Surrey, Gatwick, and South London? I have never been that convinced by the main dealers in this part of the world. Would anyone disagree?
Thanks!

Hi and welcome OP - top lurking by the way! 1 post in nearly 2 years!
Oh, and your Z4C is in the best colour by far (although I may be biased)!
If your car hasn't had one yet, you may want to budget for a new water pump - they are electric so cost in the £250 to £300 bracket (or £500 for OEM) plus potentially a thermostat and fitting, unless you can DIY.
Probably a bit out of your area but I (and a few others on here) always use TWG Automotive in Frimley. Will (the principal) is ex-Sytner as is at least one of his staff, but at around half the hourly rate!
If you go to the main Forum page and look under "General" there is a Dealer Feedback thread which should give you some other options.
Good luck getting things sorted.

Welcome along! (I guess )
I've got a indie guy near me that we use for all our BM's and even the mini (don't know if you can really call that a BM). He's pretty close to Gatwick and specialises in BM's. I'll PM you.

Mr Tidy / Kis (and anyone else reading this)
I always find it frustrating when threads never reach a conclusion, so I thought I would provide an update.
Although it took a while to organise, the car went to TWG in the end. Will & co replaced the clutch, sorted out the DSC, removed the CDV, and sorted a few other minor issues. A month down the line and so far so good. I can't fault what they did, or their knowledge of the subject.
So thanks again for the recommendation, and I would be happy to recommend them myself.
