So far - in love with how it looks... not so much with how it drives...
(in comparison to the Astra H I had previous to this)
So, a couple of issues:
- Tramlining quite badly, scariest of all is crossing catseyes to overtake on a motorway and having it suddenly jerk the steering. I read a lot about this being down to runflat tyres so come payday that'll be the first thing to tackle.
(been meaning to jack it up and check if there's any play in the wheels as it feels very similar to when the tie rod ends were worn out on a previous car I had)
- Quite a lot of white smoke from the exhaust when idling - no smell to it, don't know if it being quite cold at the mo would contribute to this at all?
- Roof not fully latching, motor takes it all the way but I have to give it a bit of a push to get it to travel the final inch to lock into the latch.
- Most drives now it'll beep at me and the clock will flash '37+ degrees' it's done this after just having it sit there idling for 5 minutes and just taking off so not even after any spirited driving. Yet the temp gauge is always smack bang in the middle once it's gotten going
- On occasion quite severe juddering as if it's on the verge of stalling just when I'm pulling off in 1st then in second too once it's rolling a bit.
Perhaps this could be an error on my part not revving high enough through the biting point, not being used to the CDV?
Any guidance on any of this would be greatly appreciated, aside from these issues thoroughly in love with the car and have very much enjoyed the drive on perfectly smooth roads
Of course I can't go anywhere without my fluffy co-pilot!
