Hi Marlon, thanks. I must say I'm liking the black hard top on the Zed. It's well suited to the red and works for me. Mazda did a limited run on their MX5's with black hard tops and they look as good
Cheers Stevie :)
On the National Meet we passed a convoy of red MX5's with the black hard tops - got a wave from them (think they were an anniversary edition).

Hi guys. Thought I'd post up as it's been awhile since my last. Friday's mail delivered a welcome surprise from the DVLA, as of the 12th October I'm medically allowed to drive once more. It's been 6 long months of being chaperoned / chauffeured everywhere, but come Wednesday I'll be able to step out the front door and jump into a vehicle :driving:.

I haven't been idle over my 6 month recuperation, my son and I have been tinkering with the wee MX5 I bought late last year.Image
You'll probably see there's a new addition tucked under the hood

Woo hoo great work Steve glad to hear you will be back behind a wheel soon.

The v8 supra is now dobe. Just planing the compound charging for it now
And a supercharged 1uz in my z4 possibly if time allowes.
My little blue zed is in lots of bits. With lots of things started and not many finished! I may have found the limits of my time and ability!!

Whoo it isn't another engine conversion just a turbo strapped on to the standard engine. That doesn't sound right, what it is is a project my son and I have worked on for over 10 months. Well it's more like 6 to be honest, but it's something I've wanted to do for along time that's produce a turbo kit for these wee cars. I'm hoping to have some fun while out mapping this to a potential 300bhp.

Looks like you've also been a busy man recently, Supra sounds awesome(don't do dope!)
Tucked away in the furthest corner of my storage unit is my next project if all going to plan. It's my beloved STI RA Impreza from 1995 and only 29k on the clock, pity I sold most of the running gear from it. Plans are to fit flat6 EZ30 or EZ36 engine and 6 speed box and possibly run it with supercharger kit. 6 cylinder will sound really nice with custom headers and system. These are fairly long term plans that may start next year at some point.
On another note I have to thank all members for your kind thoughts on my recovery. Thanks.
