Headlamp/Bumper Bracket

Post by MTB Phil » Tue Nov 21, 2017 12:27 pm

Good morning,

My Z4 has a broken bracket that holds the bumper onto the headlamp, drivers side, can this bracket be repaired, or am I looking at a new headlamp, the bumper is out of line with headlamp as a result and like everyone else, I like my car to look perfect. I look forward to your comments.

Regards

Phil

For headlights, there is a repair kit available from BMW Dealers - see this thread and this thread

However, if its the bumper/body bracket at the sides, they are a "sacrificial" part and only available from dealers. IIRC Bing had to buy one and they were pretty expensive for a piece of plastic and a pain to remove.

I enquired a couple of months ago as need one, was quoted around £34 inc the vat, and that was trade!

Wow- they have increased! Guess its supply and demand as more zeds are fixed by owners rather than insurance.
