I have increased the number of attachments you can add to a post from 4 to 10. This should assist with how-to threads.

 also.

Is there any way of increasing the resolution/ decreasing the compression, as sometimes three detail can be useful in how to's etc?

There is, but it's all about compromise really.... this site gets a lot of images posted and increasing the resolution slows down loading time and increased disk space usage. Considering we allow all types of images to be uploaded, increasing this would have a noticeable effect. It's not just the storage of the images, it all has to be backed up, potentially restored etc...

I would suggest for the time being (these things are always under consideration) you use Google/Dropbox/Flickr for detailed images.

Top idea. Used to use Photobucket, when writing up trip reports, due to Four attachment limit. Ten should mean they can be contained wholly on the forum now. :D

Has the size limit on attachments been increased? Normally I can't upload photos taken @ 12mp on my phone as I get an error saying the file size is too big, so I have to retake them at lower res. However now, they are uploading fine at full res.
