It seems that Photbucket is blocking 3rd party hosting unless you upgrade your account....... cost $400 :punch:

PB had become slow and pretty rubbish so it's no great loss now can upload on the forum, but signatures and links in old posts are no longer working :x

Mine seems to be working (at the moment), I have a Plus20 plan at $2.99/month...

If they change the terms, they can kiss my subscription goodbye.... (not that they'll notice missing £2.42 each month)

Mines working and I don't pay....

I gave up on photobucket for a while but found the forum built in image hosting useless as it kept flipping my images around randomly on some pages and not others. Tried imagur but it stopping working on mobile without an app

EDIT:

Mine is f***ed now too.

Whats gone wrong with photobucket? Just today noticed my photo links have disappeared and when I have gone into photobucket all I get is a crazy number of adverts and I can't find my photos. Anybody have the same problems and are there any solutions or alternatives?

Photobucket has "updated" its terms of service which essentially says if you want 3rd party hosting (linking your pic from them to, say, the Z4-Forum) then you have to pay them $399.99 per year. There is a link to these new terms of service at the top of their home page.

I too would welcome suggestions as to alternatives. I wouldn't mind paying a small fee, but not $400 :o

Already a thread going on this

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=98170

Not intending to rain on your parade but it might be better to keep all the discussion in one thread - the mods might merge them anyway

Mine is still working. Certainly won't be paying to use it when it updates.

Random example but 123Reg charge £120 for a 10 domain shared server hosting package so split between 10 people each with their own private ftp logistics = less than £20 a year total

I'm on photobucket and its getting slower and more unreliable. I paid a one off $29.99 (£23) to go ad free and have extra space. But Im starting to back out of it by hosting new pics on photoimage.org (which is free but has adverts and isn't as versatile as PB)
I will be down loading all my images from photobucket in case fees go up. It will be annoying if I do cancel because most of my links will fail :( and its going to be a pita relinking to a new host.

Thanks guys! I've made the site registration only as yesterday, I had to remove a few thousand images that we're against the rules(explicit material), all I can say is that I won't be charging for it ever as it's simply a sub site to my actual site and only reason is there is because I got fed up with photobucket and other big name image hosting sites that never work.

Buckz wrote: Thu Jun 29, 2017 9:49 pm As mentioned before, keep it between forum members as I don't want to get hammered with other stuff but use my hosting site.

Upload.Blocked.com

It's free, you can register (recommended to remove watermark) and manage all your photos from there.

Watermark is there to cut down on guests uploading explicit material.. trust me, it's into thousands.
Thank you for this

Well mine are still showing. I was paying $2.99 a month at one point, but I may have stopped that. Possibly mine are still working because I have no sig pic and don't post much anymore. The reason I had to upgrade was because when I was selling my last car the post had loads of pics and lost of people looked at it, which pushed the traffic/bandwidth over whatever limit PB had set. Maybe they have changed that limit and people who post a lot, have loads of pics and have lots of people looking at those pics have been affected, right ? I certainly won't be going through all my posts to re-do the pics if they turn me off, it would take years
