Z4 Exhaust Please Advice

Post by rallystellaboy » Sun Aug 24, 2014 9:15 pm

Hi
Can anyone advice me please. I have just purchased my first Z4, 2Li on an 06 plate and I would like more exhaust noise. Can anyone advice me or suggest anything that I could do to make it sound more raspier with a few bangs and pops.
It has a standard oval exhaust.
Any help would be great
Thanks
Chris

I have a suggestion :)
I'll sell you my quad for the low price of £300 collected? Its a complete standard 2.0i exhaust adapted my Machine Monkey to have 4 outlets.

The back box delete is the cheapest answer

Hi Mate,

Well it's a mod I have done for a few guys. Basically I will drill into the back box. And take a new pipe out and join it into the exhaust outlet. It will give a deeper sound louder (not to much) and will have no drone!! I could also do twin outlets for you? £50 for the exhaust mod. If you want twin tips PM me.

Went over to mat's today to have mine done. Great guy and did a great job. Left with a deeper, rapier sound when pushing on but no difference in noise when cruising and no droning whatsoever at motorway speeds. Would highly recommend getting it done and if you wanted something louder than that I'm sure mat could help you out. Make sure you have a listen to his Z wow!*

*Warning - earplugs may be needed
3.0si coupe. Loads of factory extras. Improvements: ZHP, cdv delete, matt black grill, stubby, eibach suspension, 19" CSLs wrapped in eagle f1s and MM exhaust tips - sadly gone

Matt does a great job, and the 2.0i sounds amazing once he's fettled it. I would go as far as saying it is the best sounding Z bar none once its been MM'd

Your not far wrong Pete the 4 pots respond better than the 6 to his mod.
